Q: What is the difference between a cold dryer and a suction dryer?

Answer: The working mode of the cold dryer is different from that of the suction dryer. The cold dryer condenses the moisture in the air by reducing the air temperature to obtain dry compressed air.

The suction dryer uses the principle of pressure swing adsorption. When wet air passes through the adsorbent, moisture is adsorbed by the adsorbent to obtain dry air.

The pressure dew point is also different: the pressure dew point of the cold dryer is 2~10°C; the pressure dew point of the suction dryer is -20 ~-70°C.

Refrigerants (R22, R600, R134a, etc.) are used for cold dryers, and adsorbents (molecular sieves, activated alumina) are used for suction dryers.
