Air compressor cold dryer principle high temperature failure reason

Compressed air can be pressurized, cooling, adsorption and other methods to remove the water vapor, and can be through heating, filtration, mechanical separation and other methods to remove liquid moisture.

Refrigerated dryer is a kind of equipment that cools the compressed air to remove the water vapor contained in it and obtain relatively dry compressed air. The rear cooler of the air compressor also uses cooling to exclude the water vapor contained therein. Adsorption dryer is the use of adsorption principle to remove the water vapor contained in compressed air.

The cold dryer is based on the principle of freezing and dehumidification. The compressed air is forced to pass through the evaporator for heat exchange and cooling, so that the gaseous water and oil in the compressed air are cooled by isobaric cooling, condensed into liquid water and oil, and entrained with dust. The water is discharged out of the system to obtain clean compressed air.

Reasons for high evaporation temperature of cold dryer:

the evaporation temperature increases with the increase of the evaporation pressure. The reasons for the increase of evaporation pressure are:

① The load of the cold dryer exceeds the rated value;

the working pressure of compressed air is too low;

the temperature of compressed air entering the cold dryer is too high;

④There are problems with the refrigerant system, such as: too large opening of the expansion valve, too much refrigerant liquid charge, poor heat dissipation of the condenser, resulting in too high condensation pressure, etc;

⑤ There is a problem with the compressor. If the evaporation temperature is too high, the dew point of the compressed air will rise, resulting in the phenomenon of endless water removal and exhaust with water.
