Is the air compressor special equipment? Why

Air compressor is not special equipment. However, as long as the working pressure of the gas storage tank and the connected pipeline is greater than or equal to 0.1Mpa, the volume and the pipe diameter are greater than or equal to 25mm, it belongs to special equipment.

Special equipment refers to boilers, pressure vessels, pressure pipes, elevators, lifting appliances, passenger ropeways, large amusement facilities and special motor vehicles in the field (factory) that involve life safety and high risk. Among them, boilers, pressure vessels (including gas cylinders) and pressure pipes are special pressure-bearing equipment; elevators, hoisting machinery, passenger ropeways and large amusement facilities are electromechanical special equipment.

An air compressor is a device used to compress gas. Air compressors are similar in construction to water pumps. Most air compressors are reciprocating piston type, rotating blade or rotating screw. Centrifugal compressors are very large applications.

If the air compressor used belongs to the pressure vessel in the equipment specified in the supplementary provisions of the national "special equipment safety supervision regulations", the operator should consult the operator examination institution with the special equipment safety supervision department of the local bureau of quality and technical supervision, and then obtain the qualification certificate.

The pressure vessel stipulated in the Regulations refers to the closed equipment containing gas or liquid and bearing a certain pressure, and its scope is specified as the fixed vessel and mobile vessel for gas, liquefied gas and liquid with the maximum working pressure greater than or equal to 0.1MPa (gauge pressure) and the product of pressure and volume greater than or equal to 2.5MPa · L; gas cylinders and oxygen chambers with nominal working pressure greater than or equal to 0.2MPa (gauge pressure) and the product of pressure and volume greater than or equal to 1.0MPa · L, liquefied gas and liquid with standard boiling point equal to or lower than 60 ℃.
