In summer, the common fault of screw air compressor is the blockage of radiator.

The long-term operation of the screw air compressor will cause a layer of dust or oil to adhere to the outer surface of the radiator. With the addition of catkins and poplars in this season, the screw air compressor is more likely to accumulate more catkins and dust blockage due to grease, thus affecting the heat dissipation effect. Usually, in this type of incident, we need to purge the radiator with an air gun. When purging the radiator, blow down from the upper part, first blow off the large particles, and then blow up from the bottom to purge the dust.

Several times, repeated purging, has achieved the purpose of cleaning the radiator. And it is necessary to periodically purge according to the operating environment of the screw air compressor to prevent the high temperature reminder caused by the blockage of the radiator. In addition, the following situations will also cause high temperature warning of screw air compressor:

1. The oil filter is too dirty. When the oil filter in the compressor is too dirty, the resistance oil cannot enter the compressor at the normal flow rate, and the compressor will quickly heat up due to insufficient cooling oil.

2. The cooling oil level is too low. When the screw air compressor cold machine inspection, the oil level is lower than the lower end of the inspection tube, the need for immediate replenishment.

3. Low oil grade or poor oil quality. The air compressor needs to use the special compressor oil of the screw air compressor manufacturer. When other low-grade or inferior oil is used, the viscosity and specific heat will not reach the standard, thus causing the temperature to be too high.

4. The oil cut-off valve fails. There is an oil cut-off valve between the oil filter and the compressor. When the oil cut-off valve cannot be opened, the temperature of the compressor will rise rapidly after starting due to the lack of lubricating oil and cooling, and it will automatically stop in about 1min. The temperature plug at the discharge end of the compressor host should be removed. If it is found that the temperature plug is dry and oil-free, smoke will float out of the hole. Open the access hole of the screw air compressor, remove the oil cut-off valve, and gently move the valve stem by hand to see if it can be pushed back and forth or reset easily. If it is difficult to move or return, it is necessary to further reduce the oil cut-off valve to disassemble. If the valve stem or valve hole has grease, you need to use fine sandpaper until it can slide easily; if the spring is broken or there is a foreign matter card letter will also affect the stem movement, at this time need to replace the spring or cleaning spring or spring seat.

5. Oil and gas separator core is too dirty. When the oil and gas separator core is too dirty, the oil will affect the circulation due to excessive resistance, causing overheating and shutdown. If this situation is encountered, the pressure difference before and after loading is required to be judged. When the pressure difference at both ends is 3 times of that at the beginning of startup or the maximum pressure difference reaches 0.1Mpa, the oil and gas separator core needs to be cleaned or replaced.

6. The thermostat bypass valve is in the open position. The thermostat bypass valve is in the open position when the engine is cold, and gradually closes after the temperature rises. When it fails, it may always be in the open position, and the cooling oil will flow back to the screw air compressor directly without passing through the radiator, so the temperature will slowly rise and the machine will stop. The maintenance method is similar to the maintenance method of the oil cut-off valve.

7. The exhaust pressure is too high. When the exhaust pressure exceeds the rated pressure, long-term operation will cause the screw air compressor to stop due to the excessive load of the compressor and the diesel engine. If this happens, you need to check and adjust the pressure valve first, and then check the diesel engine throttle control system and eliminate this fault.
