The oil and gas separator filter element of the screw air compressor is changed every 3000 to 3500 hours under normal conditions. If the environment is relatively clean, it can be used for about 4000 hours. However, if the working environment is dusty and humid, this time should be shortened to 2000 hours or less.

How to judge whether to change, mainly depends on two signals. First, see if the oil content in the compressed air at the outlet has obviously increased. If the exhaust starts to carry oil, the filter element cannot be stopped. Second, look at the pressure difference before and after the filter element. When the difference exceeds 0.12MPa, it must be replaced. If it is dragged down, the motor load will become larger, the power consumption will increase, and the filter element may be burned.

It is recommended to change the filter element of the new machine for the first time after running for 500 hours, and then follow the normal cycle. At ordinary times, it is best to check the pressure difference every 500 to 1000 hours.

Water lubricated air compressor has a clear advantage in this matter. Because it uses water instead of oil for lubrication and sealing, oil mist will not be generated during operation, there is basically no problem of oil blockage in the oil and gas separator, and the surface of the filter element is not easy to be pasted by oil sludge, so the actual service life is often better than oil lubrication The machine is longer, and the replacement cycle can be appropriately relaxed. Moreover, the gas discharged from the water-lubricated air compressor is very clean, the burden of the separator is light, the pressure difference rises more slowly, and the daily maintenance is much easier.

In general, remember the baseline of 3000 hours, the poor environment will be shortened, and the good environment can be appropriately extended. At the same time, keep an eye on the indicator of pressure difference and change it when it comes.
