Can the air compressor be placed on the second floor? What problems need to be confirmed before installation
The air compressor can be installed on the second floor, and this arrangement is also available in actual projects.
Can not install, mainly depends on the conditions of the plant itself.
There is a vacant room on the second floor, which is of sufficient size, which does not directly indicate that it is suitable for air compressor room. After the equipment is put in, it will have to run for a long time, dissipate heat in summer, drain water at ordinary times, and maintain and disassemble it later. The floor, run, and surrounding rooms are also affected.
These problems are better handled before the equipment enters the site, and it is often troublesome to change them after the machines are set up and the pipelines are connected.
Old factories should be especially cautious.
Some of the second floor was originally just an office or warehouse, but later the layout of the factory was adjusted and it was ready to be changed into an equipment room. In this case, the original structural information is found out first, which is much more reliable than direct on-site estimation.
First, confirm whether the equipment can be placed on the second floor for a long time.
When looking at the floor, don't just take the weight of the air compressor nameplate to make a judgment.
There are often cold dryers, filters, gas storage equipment and connecting pipelines on site. Although some equipment is not heavy alone, it is concentrated in a small area, and the final floor bears the weight of the entire equipment.
In addition, the machine does not average the weight across the room.
Some models are the whole base force, some mainly fall in several support positions. The situation is different when the machine is placed on the beam side, column side and in the middle of the slab span.
Therefore, it is best to organize a few basic information:
the weight of the equipment, the size of the base, the planned placement, and what equipment is to be placed around.
If the plant drawings are complete, they can be confirmed in combination with the original structural data.
If the old factory building has no drawings or has been renovated many times in the middle, don't judge only by past experience.
"Heavy goods have been piled here before" cannot directly indicate that it is suitable for long-term air compressor discharge.
The goods are statically stacked, and the machinery and equipment still have running vibration, and the two are not in the same state of use.
Vibration problems sometimes appear downstairs
the normal operation of the air compressor in the machine room does not mean that other areas must not feel vibration.
There are floors and beams on the second floor, and pipes are connected to other locations. Vibration may be transmitted along these structures.
There is a scene more typical:
people feel that the sound is acceptable next to the air compressor, but when they get to the office downstairs, they can hear the continuous low-frequency humming sound.
At this time, the effect may not be obvious if the sound absorption is simply made for the wall surface of the computer room.
First check whether the installation surface of the equipment is flat and stable, and then consider the vibration reduction method according to the specific model. Dampening pads, shock absorbers are not installed as much as possible, but depends on the installation requirements of the machine itself.
Pipes also cannot be ignored.
If the equipment outlet is rigidly connected to the main pipe, and the bracket is connected to the building structure, the vibration may be transmitted out along the pipeline.
If there are areas such as offices, laboratories and lounges under the computer room, it is better to look at this item more in the early stage.
Many second-floor computer rooms are not load-bearing problems in the end, but are too hot.
This kind of situation is very common.
The room is not large, with windows and exhaust fans. No abnormality can be seen when it is first turned on. In the summer, after the machine runs continuously for several hours, the temperature in the machine room is getting higher and higher.
The reason is usually that the hot air is not really exhausted.
The hot air discharged from the equipment circulates in the room and is sucked back by the air compressor, and the intake air temperature will become higher and higher.
In this case, continue to add ordinary fan is not necessarily useful.
A more practical way is to look at the air flow direction at the scene.
Where does the cold air come from?
Where is the last place for the hot air?
Will it return to the vicinity of the equipment after it is discharged?
If the air inlet and the air outlet are too close, or the hot air outlet is facing the air inlet area, it is easy to form circulation in the machine room.
When the space is relatively small, you can consider directing hot air directly to the outside.
How to determine the air volume should be combined with the equipment power, cooling form and specific model requirements. It is generally not accurate to estimate the size of the room.
Drainage this matter, the later consider the more trouble
the air compressor system has condensed water.
If there are trenches and floor drains near the computer room on the first floor, it is usually relatively simple to handle.
The second floor of the original if only ordinary room, not necessarily ready-made drainage conditions.
It's not just the host that needs to drain.
Cold dryer, filter, gas storage equipment, main low point, may have a drain.
After the equipment is installed, it is easy to find a way to connect several hoses down the wall temporarily.
At first, it can be used. After a long time, the hose may be aged, loose, blocked and leaking.
There are also some sites that raise the middle of the drain pipe in order to bypass cable trays or other pipes. It does not seem to affect the layout, but it may actually make the drainage not smooth.
Once the location of the machine room is determined, it is best to determine the drainage route together.
If it is an oil-lubricated air compressor, the condensate may also carry oil and cannot be directly treated as ordinary clean water.
The air compressor is on the second floor and will not drop obviously because the air goes down.
Many people do this arrangement for the first time, will worry about this.
In fact, the pressure drop in industrial compressed air systems comes more from pipe diameter, pipe length, number of elbows and resistance of post-processing equipment.
The air compressor was placed on the second floor, and the supervisor went down to the workshop on the first floor. There was no special problem in itself.
What is more likely to go wrong is that the supervisor does it too carefully.
When some projects were first put into production, there was little gas equipment and the supervisor was too small to feel it.
After the addition of equipment, multiple machines used gas together, and the end pressure began to be unstable.
Go to the computer room and see that the outlet pressure of the air compressor may still be normal.
At this time, the pipe network should be checked instead of the first reaction to adjust the pressure of the air compressor.
After the location of the computer room is determined, it will be easier to see how the supervisor is going to go than to find the route temporarily at the back.
If you can move in on the day of installation, you have to consider how to repair it later.
This problem is easily overlooked.
When the equipment first enters the site, the passage is usually vacated, and forklifts and cranes can also be arranged.
A few years after the plant is actually put into use, the environment may have been completely different.
Other equipment has been added to the side, the original lifting position has been occupied, and the passage may also be narrowed.
The normal maintenance of the air compressor is good, and the space problem will be exposed when the motor, cooler or large parts are disassembled.
The most common situation is that the equipment is too close to the wall.
Usually the side door can be opened, it seems no problem.
Only when it was repaired did it be discovered that the tool could not reach in and the parts had no place to pump out.
When placing the equipment, you can directly stand on the maintenance side and look at it again:
where do the big parts go?
Can people stand up?
Where are the removed things shipped out?
Is the door open enough?
If the equipment enters from the hoisting port, can this position continue to be used in the future?
These are more important than simply looking at "the machine can't put it down.
Gas storage equipment does not necessarily follow the host upstairs
the entire system does not have to be concentrated on the second floor.
The actual layout can be arranged separately according to the weight of the equipment, the plant structure and the location of the pipe network.
For example, the main engine, cold dryer and filter are placed on the second floor, while the larger gas storage equipment is arranged on the first floor or other suitable locations.
As long as the pipeline design is reasonable, this arrangement is no problem.
Especially gas storage equipment, in addition to weight, but also consider the foundation, maintenance space and site management requirements.
In order to make the computer room look neat, it is of little significance to force all the equipment together.
There are several situations, it is recommended not to rush to install it first.
If the site even floor bearing conditions are not clear, structural data can not be found, first do structural confirmation.
If there is an office under the computer room and there is no suitable vibration reduction condition on site, it should be handled in advance.
The room is very closed and the hot air has no clear exit. In summer, the probability will be more troublesome.
There is no drainage point, condensate can only be solved by temporary hoses, and later maintenance will become more and more chaotic.
There is also a situation to pay attention:
although the equipment can be temporarily hoisted to the second floor, there will be no handling conditions for large parts in the future.
When this machine room was first built, it probably looked like there was no problem.
The real problem often takes a while to run.
Summer heat is one.
Downstairs low frequency noise is a kind.
A few years later, the first overhaul, only to find that the motor can not be removed, is also a kind.
These are all more worthy of consideration in advance than the state of the device when it is just turned on.
The air compressor is placed on the second floor, and finally it depends on the site conditions.
From the installation principle, the second floor is not a restricted area.
The floor can bear, ventilation and drainage can be solved, the pipeline layout is reasonable, and the maintenance space is left enough, so it can be done.
Before the equipment enters the site, at least see the following things clearly:
floor condition, complete equipment weight, base position, exhaust route, condensate discharge, main line direction and maintenance access.
After all these are confirmed, we will decide where to put the equipment.
It is not difficult to judge whether the air compressor can be moved to the second floor.
More importantly, after the machine is placed there for a few years, it can still dissipate heat normally in summer, the downstairs will not be affected by vibration for a long time, the air supply in the workshop is stable, and the equipment can be removed during maintenance.
If these conditions are met, this position is suitable.
