Oil-free screw air compressor need refueling?

Oil-free screw air compressor does not need to be refueled, but it should be divided into two situations.

The first is a dry oil-free screw air compressor. Its screw is sealed by a precise gap, and the screw itself does not contact, so there is no need for any lubricating medium, no need to add oil or water, and the air coming out is naturally oil-free. However, this kind of machine has high requirements for processing accuracy, the gap between the screws is very small, once worn, it is easy to leak air, and the later maintenance cost is not low.

The second is the water-lubricated oil-free screw air compressor, which is currently used more and more. There is contact between its screws, but not with oil to reduce friction, but with water. The water inside the machine lubricates the screw while taking away the heat generated during compression, so the air that comes out is completely oil-free. Because water is not oil, there is no such thing as refueling. Daily maintenance only needs to be supplemented with clean water. The condensed water discharged is clean water. There will be no sludge accumulation in the pipeline. It is better to maintain than dry non-oil machine and is more worry-free than oil injection machine.

So whether it is dry oil-free or water-lubricated oil-free, the answer is that there is no need to add oil. But the difference between the two is that dry oil-free is completely carried by mechanical precision, and water-lubricated oil-free is helped by water. The latter has more advantages in stability and maintenance convenience in long-term use. If your gas scene requires high air quality and you don't want to spend too much energy on maintenance, water-lubricated oil-free screw air compressor is a very pragmatic choice.
