How long does an oil-free air compressor take maintenance?

How to set the maintenance cycle of oil-free air compressor? Speaking from the operation logic

compressed air is the basic power source of many industrial production lines, driving cylinders, controlling valves, driving spraying and packaging equipment, almost throughout the entire production process. The oil-free air compressor is used more in food, electronics, medicine and other scenes where the cleanliness of the gas source is required because the output gas does not contain oil. Whether the equipment can supply gas continuously and stably, the setting of maintenance cycle is a key issue.

Many people are used to arranging maintenance on a monthly or quarterly basis, but this is not accurate. The same equipment, continuous operation and intermittent use, a month down the wear difference may be very large. Therefore, in actual operation, the industry is more inclined to use the accumulated operating hours to determine the maintenance node, which is more in line with the real consumption state of the equipment.

The first maintenance after the new machine is put into use is generally arranged between two hundred and eight hundred hours of operation, mainly to replace the air filter and water filter. The air filter blocks the dust and particles entering the compression chamber, and once blocked, it will reduce the intake air volume. The water filter ensures that the circulating water entering the host is clean and avoids impurities from wearing internal moving parts. The first guarantee has done these two items well, and the later operation foundation will be relatively solid.

Routine maintenance should be done every two thousand to three thousand hours, including replacing the air filter element, cleaning the cooling system, checking the status of the seal, and draining the condensate in the pipeline. If the workshop has large dust or high humidity, this cycle should be shortened, and the filter element should be checked once every 1,000 hours under some working conditions. When it runs for 4,000 to 8,000 hours or nearly two years, a major maintenance is required, focusing on checking the key components such as bearings, star wheels and machine seals inside the main engine. After long-term operation, these parts will be naturally worn out, and timely treatment can restore the gas production efficiency.

Daily spot checks cannot be saved either. Take a look at the indicator light of the control panel, whether the pipe joint is loose and whether the tension of the transmission belt is normal before starting up each time. After starting, run for a few minutes without load, observe the pressure and temperature readings, and listen for any abnormal sound. For oil-free air compressor with water lubrication, it is also necessary to pay attention to whether the circulation of cooling water is smooth and whether the water pressure is enough. This kind of equipment is very common in multiple production lines with coordinated gas supply. Once there is a problem with the waterway, the temperature control of the whole equipment will be affected, and the stability of the gas supply will also decrease.

One thing that must be done every day is to drain the condensate. Compressed air in the cooling process will precipitate water, not discharged in time will accumulate in the pipeline low point, a long time will corrode the pipeline. It is recommended to manually drain once a day, and check whether the automatic drain valve is working properly.

Maintenance looks trivial, but it is actually a cover for the continuous operation of the whole production line. Only by setting a reasonable cycle and making spot checks in place can the equipment maintain a stable gas supply state in long-term use without causing trouble to production.
