Air compressor failure and troubleshooting methods

2026-04-09Views:

Due to the large and small parts of the air compressor, the common ones are: air filter, oil filter, oil core, lubricating oil, belt, solenoid valve, etc.; air compressor maintenance is divided into: overhaul and minor repair. Under normal circumstances, the overhaul of the air compressor is basically a serious problem, minor repair is a good understanding of the maintenance of minor faults. The following is a list of air compressor some common causes of small faults and treatment programs.

1. Poor environmental ventilation and heat dissipation. There are three main effects of the surrounding environment of the air compressor on heat dissipation: one is too close to the wall obstacle; the other is that there are other heat sources near the air compressor. Third, the front door and side door are opened during operation, and the fan cannot form strong airflow.

2. The radiator is blocked. When there is a lot of dust in the environment around the air compressor, the outside of the radiator will adhere to a layer of dust or sludge, and its internal copper pipes are easily blocked by the accumulation of grease, which affects the heat dissipation effect.

3, the oil filter is too dirty. The machine has three side-by-side oil filters. When it is too dirty, the resistance oil cannot enter the compressor at the normal flow rate, and the cooling oil is insufficient,

the air compressor temperature will rise. When the inlet and outlet oil pressure difference exceeds 0. The 18MPa filter element needs to be replaced at any time.

4. The cooling oil level is too low. When checking the cooler, immediately replenish the oil level below the lower end of the inspection pipe.

5, low oil grade or poor oil quality. This machine uses the manufacturer's special compressor oil. When other low-grade or inferior oils are used, the viscosity and specific heat do not meet the standards, resulting in excessive temperature.

6. The fan tape is broken or loose. When the tape breaks, the air compressor runs 5 times min. Due to the high temperature, the left and right sides will automatically stop. If the tape is too loose, it will slip, reduce the fan speed, and affect heat dissipation. At this time, the tightness of the fan tape should be replaced or adjusted.

7. Failure of oil cut-off valve. There is a shutoff valve between the oil filter and the compressor. When the oil cut-off valve cannot be opened, the temperature of the compressor will rise rapidly due to no oil lubrication and cooling after starting, and both sides will stop automatically for about 1 minute. Remove the temperature plug at the main discharge end of the compressor. It is found that the plug is dry and free of oil, and green smoke will float out of the hole. Open the manhole at the bottom of the air compressor, remove the oil cut-off valve, and gently move the valve stem with your fingers to see if it can be pushed back and forth and if it can be easily reset. If it is difficult to dial or return, the oil shutoff valve needs to be further disassembled. If

air compressor stem or valve hole on the oil, with fine sandpaper, until easy to slide; if the spring is broken or foreign body card will also affect the movement of the stem, at this time need to replace the spring or clean the spring seat.
