Air compressor maintenance cycle

Minor maintenance only needs to replace the air compressor oil and oil filter, which is usually replaced after 500 hours of operation of the new machine. Major maintenance is carried out about 3000 hours of operation of the machine.

Air compressor is a more complex equipment, so its maintenance is more strict. Generally divided into 4 stages: daily maintenance, monthly maintenance, quarterly maintenance, annual maintenance.

1. Daily maintenance

check the oil level, check the air filter element and coolant liquid level, check the hose and all pipe joints for leakage, check that the consumable parts have reached the replacement cycle and must be shut down for replacement, check the exhaust temperature of the main engine, reach or approach the warning temperature, clean the oil cooler and check the separator pressure difference. When the pressure difference reaches above 0.6 bar (limit 1bar) or the pressure difference starts to decrease, stop and replace the separation core.

2. Monthly maintenance

check the cooler and clean it if necessary, check the connection of all wires and tighten it, check the contact of AC contactor, clean the dust on the surface of the suction port of the motor and the surface of the shell, clean the oil return filter, and check whether the setting and operation of the air compressor are consistent.

3. Quarterly maintenance

clean the main motor and fan motor, replace the oil filter element, clean the cooler, check the minimum pressure valve, safety valve, and check the sensor.

4. Annual maintenance

replace the lubricating oil and oil separator filter element, replace the air filter element, oil filter, safety valve calibration, check the elastic coupling, check the cooling fan, clean the automatic drain valve, supplement or replace the motor lubricating grease.

The daily maintenance and overhaul records of screw air compressor can be recorded regularly or after maintenance. Accurate records are conducive to timely analysis and troubleshooting of air compressor failures. The main contents of maintenance records include inspection, cleaning, adjustment, supplement, replacement and corresponding maintenance time.
