There is still water after the air compressor uses the air source treatment device.

2026-04-13Views:

The air compressor still has water after using the air source treatment device. There are many possible reasons. The following are some of the main factors:

cold drying machine matching problem:

if the processing capacity of the cold dryer equipped with the screw air compressor is less than the exhaust capacity of the air compressor, the cold dryer may not be able to fully dry the compressed air, resulting in the gas still containing moisture.

Drainer and accessories:

if the drain and accessories at the back of the cold dryer are blocked or damaged, it will affect the normal discharge of water, resulting in the deposition of water in the pipeline, which increases the water content in the compressed air.

gas tank drainage problems:

the air storage tank at the back end of the air compressor has the function of accumulating water. If the drain valve is not opened in time to discharge water, a large amount of water will accumulate in the air storage tank. These water may enter the air dryer with compressed air, increasing the drying load of the air dryer.

cold and dry machine installation and piping design:

the installation and pipeline design of the cold dryer are unreasonable, such as too many elbows, which may lead to poor discharge of condensed water in the pipeline, thereby affecting the treatment effect of the cold dryer.

Temperature and pressure issues:

the pressure dew point of the cold dryer is usually 2-10°C. If the ambient temperature or pressure is not within this range, it will affect the treatment effect of the cold dryer.

Equipment internal fault:

if there is an internal leakage in the heat exchanger inside the air dryer, the compressed air may be discharged directly from the air outlet without being processed by the evaporator, resulting in high water content.

In order to solve these problems, the following measures can be taken:

ensure that the processing capacity of the air dryer is matched with the displacement of the air compressor;

regularly check and clean drainers and accessories to ensure their normal operation;

open the drain valve of the gas tank regularly to drain the accumulated water;

reasonably design the installation and pipeline layout of the cold dryer, reduce the elbow, and ensure the smooth discharge of condensed water;

control the working environment temperature and pressure of the cold dryer within the appropriate range;

regularly check the internal equipment of the cold dryer, and find and repair possible faults in time.
