Air compressor exhaust oil content ppm mg/m3

The oil content in the exhaust of an air compressor is usually expressed in ppm(parts per million, parts per million) or mg/m & sup3;(milligrams per cubic meter). Both units are used to quantify the amount of oil in a mixture of oil and gas, but they are measured and expressed differently.

ppm(parts per million): This is a proportional unit that indicates how many parts out of a million parts are oil. For example, if the oil content of the air compressor exhaust is 10ppm, it means that for every million parts of the exhaust gas, there are 10 parts of oil.

mg/m & sup3;(milligrams per cubic meter): This is a concentration unit that expresses how many milligrams of oil are contained in each cubic meter of gas. This unit more intuitively reflects the actual mass concentration of the oil.

The exhaust oil content of the air compressor depends on the type, design and maintenance of the air compressor. Oil-free air compressors should theoretically be able to provide very low exhaust gas oil content, usually much lower than 1ppm or the corresponding mg/m & sup3; value. The micro oil air compressor or lubricating oil involved in the compression process of the air compressor, the exhaust oil content will be relatively high.

In order to accurately measure the exhaust oil content of the air compressor, a special oil and gas analyzer or similar detection equipment is usually used. These devices can accurately measure the oil content in the exhaust gas and give readings in ppm or mg/m & sup3.

When choosing an air compressor, if the application scenario has strict requirements on air quality, such as food, medicine or electronics, it is very important to choose an oil-free air compressor that can provide low exhaust oil content. If the application scenario is not so strict on the air quality requirements, then you can choose a micro-oil air compressor, and configure appropriate oil and gas separation equipment as needed to reduce the oil content in the exhaust.
