screw compressor exhaust temperature is too high is a common fault, often can not cause people's attention, exhaust temperature is too high not only affect the production will aggravate the loss of equipment, shorten the life of equipment; In addition, it will accelerate the deterioration of oil, reduce the performance and flash point of lubricating oil, and even cause spontaneous combustion of lubricating oil, resulting in compressor burning or compressor explosion.
There are many reasons for exhaust temperature alarm, we can talk about it in two situations.
1. the actual exhaust temperature is not too high
generally, the exhaust temperature of the screw host is between 80-88 degrees. If the actual exhaust temperature is not significantly higher than this temperature, it may be caused by inaccurate thermometer display, temperature sensor failure, controller failure, temperature switch failure, etc. Check one by one.
The second case, the actual exhaust temperature is too high
generally, the high temperature alarm of the air compressor is set between 105-115 degrees. If the set threshold is exceeded, it will automatically stop. There are many reasons for the excessive exhaust temperature, such as the use of lubricating oil for too long, the oil core is blocked, the temperature control valve failure, the lubricating oil level is too low, the ambient temperature is too high, the minimum pressure valve is stuck, and the check valve is stuck, The oil cut-off valve cannot be fully opened, etc. Air-cooled models also have fan motor reverse rotation, fan motor does not rotate, air cooler is always too dirty, air cooler oil circuit fouling is serious, cooler exhaust channel is not smooth, etc. Water-cooled models have cooling water pressure is too low, cooling water temperature is too high, cooling water outlet pipeline blockage.
So many reasons, how do we judge where the problem is?
The key point is to find a heat source. Overheating is nothing more than two major reasons, the air compressor itself generates too much heat, or the air compressor generates normal heat and cannot be cooled in time.
In view of the first problem, we should look for the reason from the gas path, such as: all levels of suction and exhaust valve damage, dirt, valve seal failure caused by air backflow, vortex. This generates a lot of heat. The air compressor has to go through the four strokes of suction, compression, work, and exhaust to produce high-temperature and low-pressure gas. In order to ensure the normal suction of the next cylinder or the user's gas, the high-temperature gas must be forced to cool. In this way, part of the normal heat is dissipated in the environment, and part is taken away by the cooling water (or cooling fan). Poor heat dissipation and poor circulation of the cooling system are the main reasons for the high exhaust temperature. The radiator is blocked, the cooling water is insufficient, the water pump is damaged, the thermostat is damaged, too much scale, and the fan performance is poor.
