What kind of oil is used in the air compressor? Does an oil-free air compressor not use lubricating oil?

Oil air compressor refers to the use of lubricating oil (synthetic oil or semi-synthetic oil) in the air compressor system to lubricate the machine and dissipate heat. This kind of air compressor, the compressed air will have a certain amount of lubricating oil, that is, the post-processing equipment is used for filtering, but it will still have a small amount of lubricating oil, so it is not suitable for some working conditions.

Oil-free air compressor, there are 2 kinds:

in the air compressor system, no lubricating oil is added, pure water is used for lubrication, and no lubricating oil is involved in the operation of the air compressor. Therefore, the compressed air has no lubricating oil, so it is called an oil-free air compressor.

In the air compressor system, lubricating oil is involved in the operation of the air compressor, but the lubricating oil is isolated from the compression zone by means of complete isolation. The lubricating oil is only responsible for the lubrication protection of the bearing and does not participate in the compression.

Note: The compressed air of an oil-free compressor is not 100 percent oil-free. Because the air contains trace amounts of oil, in some places, the oil content in the air is higher. Therefore, even if the oil-free air compressor is used, the compressed air still needs to be processed.

In addition: the price of oil-free air compressor is much higher than that of oil-free air compressor. Therefore, if you can choose a micro-oil permanent magnet frequency conversion screw air compressor, try to choose micro-oil.
