The main difference between the cold dryer and the suction dryer is reflected in the following aspects:
working principle: The cold dryer achieves the purpose of removing water by reducing the temperature of the compressed air, while the suction dryer uses the principle of pressure swing adsorption to contact the saturated compressed air from the upstream with the desiccant under a certain pressure. Most of the moisture is adsorbed in the desiccant.
In addition to the water effect: cold dryer because of its own principle, the temperature is too low will produce ice block, so its dew point temperature is usually maintained at 2~10. Because the desiccant (alumina or molecular sieve) can be deeply dried, the dew point temperature of the outlet can reach below -20 ℃, that is to say, deep drying can be achieved.
Energy loss: the cold dryer is through the refrigerant compression work to achieve the purpose of cooling, so the adaptation of the power supply power is higher. The suction dryer only through the electric control box to control the valve, the power supply power is low, the loss of electricity is less.
Air loss: the cold dryer removes water through variable temperature, and the water generated during the working process is discharged through the automatic drain, so there is no air loss. However, the drying machine needs to be regenerated after the desiccant is saturated with water absorption, so it needs about 12-15% regeneration gas loss.
Failure rate: because the refrigerant system and air system of the cold dryer, including electrical parts, are relatively complex, while only the valve of the suction dryer may fail due to frequent actions, the failure rate of the suction dryer is lower than that of the cold dryer under normal circumstances.
In general, cold dryers and suction dryers have their own characteristics, and the choice of equipment depends on specific application requirements and scenarios.
