Condensed water is a big killer of air compressor. If it is not discharged in time, it will rust the inside of the unit, reduce the performance of lubricating oil and affect the operation of the unit. So how is the condensate produced? And how to discharge?
Air compressor condensate water mainly comes from the air. The air sucked by the air compressor contains moisture. These gases containing moisture enter the unit. As the operating temperature of the unit rises, these moisture will evaporate. The evaporated moisture will enter the air storage tank for cooling with the compressed air. Many liquid water, we call it condensed water. If the air humidity is higher in the rainy season, the more condensed water will be.
Secondly, the low temperature operation of the air compressor will also produce condensed water. The operating temperature of the unit is lower than the moisture evaporation temperature, which will cause the moisture in the air to be directly precipitated to form condensed water. Therefore, long time low temperature operation of the machine should be avoided.
The discharge time of condensate is not clearly defined. It is usually based on the unit's intake air humidity and operating conditions. Usually the user will be in the boot or shut down, the condensate is fully precipitated, so that it will not affect the normal use of the unit can also ensure the effect of drainage.
Drainage shall be carried out after the air compressor is shut down, there is no pressure in the oil and gas separation tank, and the condensed water is fully precipitated. General air compressor will be equipped with a gas storage tank, at the bottom of the gas storage tank will be equipped with a drain valve, open the valve can drain. In order to facilitate the discharge of condensed water, most users will install automatic drainers. The automatic drain will handle the closed state without pressure. When the condensed water reaches a certain amount, the drain will automatically open. The water will be discharged under the action of air pressure. At the same time, the buoyancy will decrease and the air bottle will drop to block the drain.
