Can the cold dryer run without opening the air compressor?

Cold dryers usually need to be used in conjunction with air compressors and are designed to handle the compressed air generated by air compressors. In this process, the cold dryer is responsible for removing moisture, oil vapor and impurities from the compressed air, thus ensuring the quality and efficiency of the subsequent use of compressed air. If the air compressor is not started, the cold dryer may not be able to receive the compressed air to be processed, so its normal operation will be affected.

However, there are also some special scenarios where it may be possible to turn on the cold dryer without the air compressor running. For example, when the temperature and relative humidity in the air are very low, the air is naturally in a relatively dry state, or when the ambient temperature is very high, the external air needs to be pre-dried by the cold dryer. Also in the case of air compressor maintenance, or failure, in order to maintain the system part of the drying function, may also need to open a separate cold dryer.

However, these situations are not common and do not belong to the standard operating procedures of cold dryers. Therefore, in general, the cold dryer cannot operate normally when the air compressor is not opened. In daily use, the air compressor should be started first to ensure its stable operation and then open the cold dryer to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the entire compressed air treatment system.
