(1) Fully meet the gas consumption needs of gas-using equipment
the maximum gas consumption shall be calculated according to the type and quantity of pneumatic equipment, and the gas consumption that may be increased in the future shall be included, and then the air compressor equipment that can meet the gas supply requirements of pneumatic equipment shall be selected. To be on the safe side, the gas supply capacity of the air compressor shall exceed the demand (at least 25% surplus shall be produced). When calculating the compressor output, the actual gas output of the compressor shall prevail, the theoretical calculation of gas production should not only be considered. Under the pressure of 689.5kPa, the actual gas production can be deduced by empirical formula, I .e. the gas production per horsepower (1 horsepower-0.746kW, the same below) of electric motor is 0.13 m3/min, and the gas production per horsepower of pneumatic motor is 0.057 m3/min. At the same time, the actual gas production is reduced due to the increase of altitude and the increase of ambient temperature, and the high moisture and humidity in the air will also reduce the gas production capacity of the compressor. The gas consumption of various pneumatic equipment is shown in Table 4-4.
(2) Maximum pressure required for pneumatic equipment
based on this, it can be determined to use a single-acting, double-acting or multi-acting air compressor.
(3) Select according to construction requirements
small construction optional diaphragm compressor, general construction often choose reciprocating air compressor. It is best to prepare two air compressors, one with high power for full-load all-day work and the other for half-day or non-full-load use, so that the gas requirements of the system can be met in different situations. A standby compressor is on standby, even if another compressor is damaged, it will not affect the work. The two compressors are regularly rotated in a week cycle, which is conducive to maintaining good working conditions for both compressors.
(4) Select the control mode according to the construction characteristics
if the gas is used continuously and stably, the air compressor with constant speed control device should be selected. If the gas is used intermittently, the air compressor with automatic opening/closing control device should be selected. If the gas is used intermittently and sometimes continuously, the air compressor with dual control device, I .e. both automatic opening/closing control device and constant speed control device, needs to be used.
